President Boscana Foundation

Boscana began his career in 1961 with the support and affection of parents who wanted to give their daughter with an intellectual disability an adequate education and training for her special needs. Jesús Raventós and Tere Chalbaud built a Special Education School for girls with intellectual disabilities and extended it to other families in the same situation.

“When a child with an intellectual disability is born, these are almost always the first questions parents ask themselves: What happened, why us, what have we done? That happened to my parents when my older sister Begoña was born. ” Ana Tere Raventós tells us.

That is why Boscana was born , to answer questions, to support families, and above all to care for and educate these children. Since its inception, it has fought for full integration into society.

Currently, Boscana Foundation offers an Occupational Center and Residential Services. We invite you to get to know Boscana and come visit us.

Sometimes it happens that the destiny of one person ends up marking the destiny of others, and that the dream of some parents becomes the PROJECT of many families: this is how BOSCANA was born.

Fundación Privada Boscana is registered with the Generalitat de Catalunya under number 346.
Your accounts are audited annually.
Boscana Foundation received the Barcelona Medal of Honor in 2017. Its president Ana Tere Raventós in 2020.
Boscana Foundation is part of the United Nations Global Compact and works to achieve the 2030 Agenda with the Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2021 the BOSCANA HUB is created to continue innovating and creating positive things in society through synergies between companies and the third sector.

HUMAN TEAM

The Boscana team is made up of great professionals with proven and innovative values in their work, as well as a great capacity for dedication and joy.

It is made up of 30 people, at different times, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Foundation is financed mainly from the fees paid by BOSCANA users and the collaboration of donors in the scholarship exchange.

We have the collaboration of companies and individuals, who with the donation of products, hours of their time and financial contributions, help pay for the Scholarship Fund and carry out activities for users.

Agreements with the IMD, the Municipal Institute for disabled people, the Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Barcelona Provincial Council.

Annually the accounts of the Foundation are presented to the Protectorate of Foundations of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
